Note: "This is not the exact words of the preacher!”

The purpose of saying a prayer is for it to be answered but that depends who we are praying to. Some people pray to god of stone, god of sun, god of ocean and sea and some even make money their god.

As Elijah, " the God that answers by fire is my God!' Prayer is a form of communication to God and whenever we call unto Him we expect a response and when we do receive it doesn't mean God doesn't hear us or his ears are deaf to us but sometimes our approach may the reason, or our sin or God chooses to answer in a different manner we didn't expect him to.

One thing for sure to an effective prayer is to be patient and listen whenever we say a prayer. Communication is a two way things: When you speak over the phone, you must listen to hear and understand what the other person is saying to have an effective communication. The same applies to when we say our prayer. We must not be in a hurry to communicate and leave the presence of God. We must abide in presence, be relax, be patient and listen attentively to abide by His direction for the fulfillment of our requests.

Keynote:

"God do answer prayers but His ways are not always ours!" A christian common saying.
