'TEST'

"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you" - 1 Peter 4:12
.
When a man is tested, he doesn't smile because the process is painful and sometimes unbearable. There's a fiery trial which God designs to test you. God doesn't test a man in the palace, he is tested in the wilderness.
.
The children of Israel were tested but they failed God. It is one thing to understand when you're being tested by God, or tempted by the devil or you're going through challenges sponsored by the enemy.
.
Who knows if it was God that orchestrated the test of Adam and Eve but God doesn't tempt (James 1:13) but He test. The devil came to tempt Jesus but he failed. Whereas Job was tested, but he passed.
.
How does God test? He uses fiery trial to try men. That situation you're going through may be a test of faith. No test, no testimony: no test, no promotion and when He hasn't tested you, you can't be qualified.
.
David was tested in the wilderness before he became qualified to become a king. God tests by committing little graces to your hands, He test you by entrusting unrighteous mammon into your hands before He gives you true riches; He test you by putting you in charge of another man's affair (business, ministry) where your commitment and faithfulness is determined before He gives you yours.
.
The Israelite thought God was unfair to them when He made them go through the wilderness before they get to the promise land. Don't think it strange as if something bad is happening to you but discern whose hand is in it.
.
For every test that God subjects a man to, He promotes afterwards. Two men out of the Israelite passed the wilderness test and made it to the promise land while the rest perished because they failed.
.
If you do not pass the test of being faithful as a single, you would fail the test when you become married.
.
Ask for grace to overcome your trial. Ask for understanding to discern the cause of your challenges and for the wisdom to overcome temptation in life.
