Okay I am not writing on the bank on your mind, smiles. This article is for women, we need to deposit a lot into this account termed ‘UBA’, and it simply means Understanding and Beautiful Appearance. To be a wise woman that will build your home, this is part of the bricks needed, understanding and beautiful appearance, the beautiful appearance is not only from the outside but from inside out.

There was a woman in the bible who displayed a high level of understanding, she saved her entire household from destruction, she had the understanding which made her a queen eventually. She understood the dangers of procrastination and made haste to accomplish her task. Abigail as seen in 1Samuel 25:2-44 was described as a woman of good understanding and beautiful appearance but had a husband who was evil in his doings.

She understood the impact or effect of calm words, she knows the importance of choosing words when speaking in tense situations. "A soft answer turns away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger" (Prov.15:1). There are so many lessons to be learnt for this woman, let us consider some;

She put her understanding into action to avoid conflict. How do you handle crises to avoid conflicts in your home, are you the type of wife that will even fuel anger in your husband? You have to look into opening and depositing into this account which Abigail opened.

Abigail was a rich woman, but even at that she remained humble. Some women are not only proud to outsiders but also to their husband especially when they probably have more than their husband. God sees the proud from afar but gives grace to the humble, for your home to be a blessing and peaceful, avoid pride.

She chose to find solution than to nag her husband, even though she can confront him with anger to tell him how unreasonable he is to act that way and even remind him of how many times she has been telling him to work on his anger but she did not. Choose to find solution to problems than nagging, you can also settle matters on your knees and with calmness.

She did not yield to fear, she walked up and faced a man who would one day rule over Israel; what is challenging your faith or your home? God has not given you the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2Tim.1:7). It is time to activate your boldness and exercise your faith because He needs your home to be a blessing.

She was kind, she did not set her heart on her riches, nor did she look down on anyone and feel too big to lose her material possessions, she gave gifts. This is a call to hospitality, giving open doors to greater opportunity believe it.

The life of Abigail speaks so loudly as to the impact a wise woman can have on the life of a man, invest into understanding as it is needed for every queen or woman to be beautiful and to have a peaceful home. He who finds a wife has found a good thing and obtain favour from the Lord, are you or will you be a favour or a frustration to your husband/would be husband?
