A MOVING CAR.

The beauty of a car is not when it is parked or abandoned in a spot, the beauty is in when it moves, takes you where you want and enjoying the ride. Yesterday or day before, my husband and I talked about parking cars in a spot for a long time without usage, he said it damages the car, some things may get rust and so on; which means it is better to make use of your parked car sometimes so as to avoid damage. Hold on, you will soon know where this is going, this morning on my way to work, I asked God for today’s topic and I received the topic ‘A moving car’, what has this got to do with relationship or even with our lives I asked? Don’t worry I also got the response too.
.
Let’s start with our spiritual life, are you a moving or a parked vessel? This question also made me do a quick check into my own life, my family and His Ministry, are they moving or parked. It is not enough to be known as Christian, it is more of the act; ‘you will know them by their fruits’ (Matt.7:16a). This also includes what you do in the secret, if revealed, will it show Christ or glorifies Him? Another part to this is; good you are genuinely a Christian (inside and outside) but are you growing, we are to grow from babies into maturity in Christ. How is your prayer life, studying of the Word, Evangelism, fellowship with others and so on? Check yourself this morning and make adjustments where necessary to avoid damage and rust like a parked car.
.
Relationship Aspect: to my single brothers and sisters, is your life moving or parked in a spot because you are single? When last did you add value to yourself, look good, make godly friends, etc? Being morose or depressed will not bring a spouse to you, it may even cause further delay, that is why you need to move and how do you achieve this, you have to most importantly move with God or in His speed, celebrate yourself, be prayerful, add value, do not wait for anyone to validate your existence for you, discover purpose and pursue it to glorify God and expand His kingdom, make yourself happy and enjoy your present stage knowing that it is just for a while and not forever. Now I’m not saying you should move with your searching Wi-Fi always on and seeing every opposite sex as potential partner, thereby creating unnecessary friendship which some may later affect you, in all things allow God to lead you.

Yes it is so sweet when you love and you are loved, the butterflies that runs in the stomach when you remember him/her, the joy of being married and so on but it does not stop there, is your relationship (courtship or marriage) moving or parked is the question to ask yourself this morning, are you both adding value to each other, is your union still fulfilling God’s purpose, are you secured in each other, is one of you moving or stagnant? Remember, to have a smooth journey, you both need to be on the same pace, help each other to grow in all aspect, encourage each others vision and see that it is moving.
.
This topic also concerns men and women of God, is the ministry moving or stagnant, hope your personal walk with God is not lost in your work for God, ensure that you check and make adjustments so that we can all avoid damage or rust just like a parked car.
