One interesting thing about Jesus Christ is that He's much more interested in calling people to Himself rather than assigning responsibility to them. Many are in churches today but they have not been with Jesus.
She came to Jesus as an unbeliever, but before she left Him, the Samaritan woman believed He was the Messiah and she became an evangelist (John 4).
You can't be with Jesus and your life would remain the same. Because Peter and John had been with Him, although they were ignorant and unlearned men in the Jewish religion, they were bold enough to challenge those who opposed them.
Have you been with Jesus? You can't be with Him, and you won't be bold to represent Him anywhere you find yourself. Sadly, many Christians are churchgoers who have not been with Him. They attend church every week, but Jesus hasn't delivered them from their sin.
Why is this so? They've only come to church, but not to Jesus.
It doesn't matter how long you've been a Christian, the main issue here is: have you been with Jesus? If anger, pride, bitterness, unforgiveness, masturbation, sexual immorality, and the likes remain in your life, then it is evident that you haven't been to (with) Jesus.
Those who have been with Him usually exchange their weakness, ideology, unbelief, and temperament for His nature, not just their sorrows and shame. However, to be with Jesus, you must come to Him the way He discipled His followers. He loves you so much that He doesn't want you to remain in sin.
Friend, I invite you to come to Jesus Christ because He is more interested in that you be like Him. Quit promoting or playing church when you've not become like Him.
