EAT FOR THE JOURNEY IS GREAT

"And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee." (1 Kings 19:7 KJV)

Paul and his wife were traveling to their hometown with their family car, several states away from where they live. The fuel gauge on the dashboard shows they were on a half tank. Meanwhile, Rhoda, his wife insisted that he fills up the tank. He kept procrastinating, but he later obeyed his wife's plea. Unfortunately, all the gas stations they met on their way do not have fuel when they wanted to top-up.

Elijah was a man of God who did great exploits, but when he was threatened by Jezebel, he fell into depression and ran for his life. By divine intervention, God's angel appeared to him and told him to prepare for the journey ahead. He ate once and was told to eat again. It was by the strength he gathered from the food he ate that he journeyed for 40 days and was empowered to carry out God's agenda.

The next year is going to be a great one. There will be transition both in the physical and in the spiritual. It is also going to be a year where there shall be a great falling away from the faith, but only those who have prepared for it will overcome it.

To survive the challenges of the coming year, eat the word of God, and tarry in the place of prayer until you carry something tangible that help you in 2023.

Feed on God's word by reading, studying, and meditation. Beyond your quiet time, get access to the proceeding word of God. Do not waste the remaining 18 days preparing for Christmas party, clothes, or on unnecessary traveling.

Retreat from activities that would not add up to your spiritual, and mental life. Prepare for the rainy day. Prepare for the coming year. Understand God's agenda for your life in 2023. Don't wait for national prophecies, get your prophecy from God.

Eat, and eat again until you have obtained sufficient strength that will usher you into next year.
