WHO ARE YOU?

"And this is the record of John when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ." (John 1:19-20 KJV)

The question of knowing one's identity is not a matter that should be treated with a pinch of salt. Everything you do or become in life revolves around your identity.

Because many are ignorant of this, they define their lives or describe themselves based on mundane things such as their education, marital status, exposure, or position. But as good as these may be, they hold no relevance in the world to come.

Whilst I do not downplay the need to be earthly relevant, it must not be at the detriment of your eternal relevance.

So, who are you?

This answer is not for you to tell me about your name, title, family background, or those things we highly esteem as humans. Rather, you should answer after you have discovered your essence of living, that is, the purpose of your existence.

The priests and Levites knew everything there is to know about John, and the answer he gave them was based on the knowledge of his divine identity.

Did you know that you cannot know the answer to "Who are you?" until you have asked the one who created you, "What will you have me do?". Sadly, many who do not know who they are and why they were created have abused their lives and also lived for the wrong purpose.

It was during Paul's conversion that he asked the question of knowing his identity, and after his discovery, the knowledge of his identity was revealed and he began to live for that cause.

There's a reason why you were created. You are not in your country, family, or the world accidentally. Dearly beloved, I implore you to settle the question of knowing who you are with God so you can live your life according to all that He has written concerning you.

Remember, you'd either live based on who God has created you to be, or you'd live based on how the god of this world has recreated you to be.

Think about this!
